Our School and Courses

The PSK, in furtherance of this superb sport, runs courses in navigation by sea kayak.

Our courses are organised in a step-by-step structure so as to meet the needs of individual participants.

Courses are taught by FICK-accredited instructors. The following are the various levels of instruction:

• Level 1: basic training and the elements of sea kayaking.

• Level 2: excursions to sea and fine-tuning of sea kayaking technique.

• Level 3: safety techniques including self-rescue, assisted rescue and support.

• Level 4: "Eskimo" techniques

• Level 5: training for longer excursions by sea kayak, meteorology and sea camping.
